The projects valued at over 1.9 billion naira took the ICPC team to all the local governments in the central senatorial district of Cross River State where it was discovered that most projects were actually completed and handed over to the communities.

Projects executed were 5,000 gallon solar-powered, mini-water scheme in Yakurr LGA covering areas such as Ijiman, Ijom, Ikpakapit, and Ekori, while in Abi; same projects were done in Igbo Imabama and Ajere.

The team also tracked 30 numbers of 6,000 litres Solar Powered borehole in Obubra where it discovered that only 6 of the 30 were functional due to lack of community interest in those projects, hence they were either allowed to be vandalized or remained fallow.

The ICPC team leader did not want his name mentioned in print but some beneficiaries interviewed in some communities where solar water projects were functional, expressed satisfaction that the projects where of huge benefit to them, hence they guided jealously. In other communities where the completed projects were lying fallow, it was discovered that some communities are used to water from their community river.
