APC Chieftain, Abdulkadir, Laid To Rest In Sokoto


The remains of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) immediate past National Vice Chairman Northwest, Barrister Inuwa Abdulkadir were laid to rest in Sokoto on Monday.

Abdulkadir, who was a former Minister during President Goodluck Jonathan administration, died in the early hours of Monday at the Usmanu Danfodiyo Teaching Hospital, Sokoto after a brief illness.

The Sokoto Grand Khadi, Tambari Usman led the funeral prayer performed at 2pm with hundreds of people in attendance including the Deputy Governor, Hon. Mannir Dan Iya.

Also in attendance were the Speaker, Hon. Aminu Manya Achida; Secretary to the State Government Saidu Umar; National and State Assembly Members and State Executive Council members.

Before his demise, Abdulkadir was part of the APC recently dissolved NWC members.

He was Minister for Youths and Sports Development during the President Jonathan’s administration.

Until his death, the APC chieftain, who was 54, left behind two wives and 10 children. ‘He was Chairman and Pro Chancellor of the Sokoto state University.
